Show Off Prick

I was on my way to go home from Senayan City when i wrote this post. I have to write it as soon as i can before i forgot the conversation between a girl about my age with a stranger on her cell phone.

I was at the Century health-care shop when suddenly a girl next to me pick up her phone and start speaking in her “elephant” voice and seems like she was about to showing off her Italian new boy-friend to her gals. I don’t mean to eardrops on her conversation, but how can i not, everyone near her can almost listen to her un-ethical manner of using cellphone in public place, not to mention she also put the speakerphone on. UGH… So irritating!!!  :x

.

Irritating girl : Hi babe, is everything alright there?

Cellphone : ————–

Irritating girl : I’m with my friends here and we’re going to watch the Iron Man movies. How about you, what are you doing?

Cellphone : ————–

Irritating girl : Do you want to say something to my friends here? (*turning her speakerphone on)

Cellphone : Hi ladies… I heard you all spent a good time today?

More irritating girls : Hi… (blah blah blah)

Irritating girl : Remember about diamond that we talked about? I might get the one you want (blah blah blah)

Cellphone : (blah blah blah)

Irritating girl : I can send the photos to your email today (blah blah blah)

Cellphone : (blah blah blah)

Irritating girl : (blah blah blah)

Cellphone : (blah blah blah)

Irritating girl : HA-HA-HA… me too i need new shoes, new purse, new man in my life

Cellphone : (blah blah blah)

.

Then, someone else; another girl about my age, approached to the irritating girl, grab her phone and turn it off and say “could you be more polite using a cellphone in public? Look around you, people are annoyed with your voice” and she just walk away with her purchased items.  8O

Hahaha, Tck…Tck… girl you need to have some manner education about using cellphone in public, besides your so called INLISH (Indonesian English) sucks! Don’t speak in English if you can’t and definitely don’t mix it with bahasa Indonesia if it didn’t mean anything.

~~Ethics on Using Cellphone in Public~~
  1. Put your cell phone, pager or other PDA device on mute or turn it off during meetings and public performances.
  2. Select ring tones that you will not regret.
  3. Speak softly rather than talking loudly.
  4. Excuse yourself before talking a call.
  5. Commit to not talking on your cell phone in elevators, libraries, museums, restaurants, theaters, places of worship, and other public places.
  6. Use the hands free device if you must use your cell phone while in your car.
  7. If there is a true emergency, take the call.
  8. Keep your cell phone conversations private, rather than subjecting others to your conversations.
  9. Keep calm and avoid displaying anger and becoming emotional during a call in a public place.
  10. Follow the rules that restrict or prohibit cell phones in public places.
  11. Respect the personal space of others by keeping 10 or more feet away from people when speaking on your cell phone.
  12. Avoid interrupting a face-to-face conversation to take a cell phone call because it will show you do not believe the person is important to you.

Ok i have to admit that i’m a bit of a “show-off prick” myself and sometimes it made me proud but most of the time, later on, i realized i just made a stupid thing.

Are you a show off prick too?

How does it feel?

Was it make you proud and feel like you’re a winner of the day?

PS: want to know who’s the girl that turned off the irritating girl’s cell phone? Well, you’re at her blogsite and reading her post. MuHaHaHa…
