It’s been a long time i didn’t write an English post, because of this never ending bad mood. Yeah, i am a moody mad woman. Got problem with dat?! lol…
Anyway, thing that inspired me to make this post is because i remembered one of the best chocolate cake i ever ate while i tests several desserts menu in Grand Wedding Expo couple of days ago at JCC.
This Catering Company gave me a small warm chocolate cake with a small scoop of chocolate ice cream on top of it. And when i ate it, it was like, WOW… i think i have ate this cake somewhere before this, maybe at a Cheese Cake Factory or Bakerzin, I can’t remember precisely but, i was thinking like how come i forgot the extra-delicious and super-yummy of A Chocolate Cake? where have i been?
Yeah right! DIET… ruin all the good stuff.
So, i went to Chitos to look this cake at Bakerzin yesterday and sadly, they are outsell.
Without wasting my time there, i hurried my self to the foodmart and shop all the ingredients to this supreme Molten Lava cake that i like to eat, just remember to burn 1200 cal afterwards though
If you want to make this cake, just follow this video i found it in YouTube, it’s pretty izzi. What you need to prepare is :
- 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
- 4 oz unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- bit of sugar flour to dust the ramekins or vegitable oil will do too
- 4 ramekins (oven safe dishes)
- double boiler
- plastic spatula
- mixer
- vanilla ice cream
Watch carefully this video…
Tips from me :
- Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1 tbs of Rum to the chocolate liquid, right just before you put it into the ramekins and bake, it will smell good and taste better.
- Bake the cake for 8 minutes and take it out from the oven, you will see the chocolate liquid still jiggled, then let the chocolate jelled after you take it outside. You will like the tenderness of this cake when the chocolate melt in your mouth.
- Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the cake, let it blends, then put some strawberry slices around it and drop some chocolate grater for the last touch.
As if for me, i would eat this cake for an afternoon snack and drink Baileys after that. hee hee…
